Danny Vos
Aircraft Mechanic
The main challenge in this role is to assist with converting customer aircraft workscopes into technically feasible work packages so that your colleagues can effectively and efficiently execute them with the designated resources, materials, and instructions. Additionally, you will become responsible for creating, monitoring, and adjusting the project plan and schedule to maintain a clear overview of the project status.
You will also maintain daily contact with colleagues in Production to gather project status updates and maintenance requirements. You will liaise with the Order Control and Logistics departments, providing them with information about required components and initiating outsourcing for specialized component processes. Regular communication with the Project Manager is required to discuss project progress. Moreover, you will communicate with customers to address technical and substantive questions, so proficiency in English is essential.
As a work preparer, you will create requisitions to the Order Control department to ensure timely availability of project resources. Additionally, you will be involved with monitoring project progress and take part in meetings in case of any urgent requirements that may hinder progress. Your responsibilities will eventually include developing and updating project schedules, translating project plans into standardized maintenance tasks, and keeping track of their status.
