How you keep the engine running with us

As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician, you will perform inspection, maintenance, repair and modification work on aircraft structures and components in a military environment. All work is carried out at our customer’s location in Gilze-Rijen, where you contribute directly to the operational readiness of helicopter systems.

You are a skilled technician with a strong eye for detail, capable of working independently as well as in a team, ensuring high-quality work in line with strict aviation standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Inspection, Maintenance & Repair

Performing prescribed inspection, maintenance, repair and modification activities on aircraft structures, weapon systems and related equipment
Determining, together with inspectors or coordinators, whether components should be repaired or replaced
Identifying required materials and tooling and signaling procurement needs

Component Inspection

Inspecting incoming aircraft components (frames, panels, sheet metal parts) for usability, documentation and physical condition

Process Improvement

Identifying inconsistencies or errors in technical orders, planning cards and drawings
Proposing improvements to inspectors and coordinators

Administration & Quality

Recording all performed work in SAP
Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
Maintaining personal tools and equipment
Contributing to the quality management system within the team

Additional Activities

Performing periodic maintenance on workshops and ground support equipment
Advising on the purchase or replacement of tools and equipment related to aircraft sheet metal work

You will work closely with inspectors, coordinators and fellow technicians in a professional and collaborative environment. Together, you ensure high-quality execution of maintenance and repair activities.

How you are valuable to us

You are a hands-on technician with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset.

We are looking for someone with:

A completed MBO Level 3 education in Aircraft Sheet Metal or equivalent
Experience with aircraft sheet metal work (experience on Chinook, Apache or Cougar is a strong advantage)
Affinity with aircraft maintenance, preferably rotary wing
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Familiarity with EASA Part-145 or MLE-145 regulations (knowledge of CLRS/DHC operations is a plus)
Good command of English (B1 level)
