The team
As our Certification & Verification Engineer you will be part of our Capability Development team at Schiphol (Oude Meer).
This team consists of 10 product engineers and one Certification & Verification Engineer. You will replace our current Certification & Verification Engineer.
The Capability Development Lead will be your manager and coach.
What will you do?
As our Certification & Verification Engineer, you are responsible for developing EASA/FAA approved repair procedures in order to generate cost saving solutions and avoid obsolescence on legacy aircraft platforms.
In addition, you are responsible for, among other things:
• Development and creation of cost saving engineering initiatives.
• Justification and verification of failure classifications in accordance with EASA/FAA regulations.
• Development of engineering solutions in order to avoid obsolescence on legacy aircraft platforms.
• Monitoring of new technologies, selection of potential applications and translation into repair development.
• Preparing, checking and approving certification reports.
You are a Certification & Verification Engineer who enjoys building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
You’re able to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
In addition you have:
• A completed HBO education in Engineering.
• Knowledge of system design and safety assessments related to Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years relevant work experience
• At least 3 years experience with Aviation regulations, preferably EASA Part 145, Part 21 and FAA.
• A strong affinity with aircraft (component) design and operations.
