The Team
You are part of the Supply Chain Logistics Department. Your team consists of two export-import specialists. In addition, you collaborate with colleagues from the warehouse.
The Logistics Lead Warehousing is your manager and coach.

What will you do?
As an Export/Import Specialist within the Supply Chain Logistics Department, you ensure the timely processing of (export) shipments, compliance with laws and regulations, and you provide advice on export/import-related matters to the organization.
You occasionally participate in (Continuous Improvement) projects. You are responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient process flow. You take part in the daily operations to make sure all shipments are created and dispatched on time, making a real difference for our customers.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and processing export shipments.
  • Resolving issues in the supply chain related to import and export, specifically regarding import processing outside the EU in coordination with our brokers/agents.
  • Requesting quotes, negotiating, and coordinating (special) transport assignments.
  • Identifying risks in the transport chain and providing solutions related to odd-size, dangerous goods, and other non-standard shipments.
  • Informing and maintaining contact with stakeholders about the progress of shipments.
  • Reviewing and approving transport invoices.

How you are valuable to us

What do you bring?
You are an Export/Import Specialist with a flexible and results-oriented attitude. You are stress-resistant and able to set the right priorities. In addition, you possess strong communication skills.

Furthermore, you have:

  • A completed MBO-level education in transport/logistics.
  • Good command of both English and Dutch.
  • Experience with MS Office, customs/shipment integration systems, and ERP systems.
  • A basic customs declarant course is a plus.
