Financial Accountant

The team 
As our Financial Accountant you will be part of the finance team. The finance team consist of 9 FTE, 4 accounts payable, 3 accounts receivable and 1 financial accountant. 
The teams are based in Hoofddorp and Woensdrecht.
The Group Finance Manager will be your manager and coach.

What will you do?

As our Financial Accountant, you are responsible for collecting, posting and organizing our financial data. You actively work on the continuous improvement of processes and systems to enhance efficiency and control within the organization. 
You ensure that the proper internal controls are executed and aligned with the required standards and guidelines.
In addition, you are responsible for, among other things:

•    Performing daily accounting tasks including processing journal entries, depreciation, and reconciling balance sheet positions. 
•    Preparing internal and external financial reports and analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities.
•    Ensuring accounting practices comply with relevant principles and regulations; assist in the preparation of financial audits.
•    Managing VAT filings and other tax obligations; support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
•    Identifying and resolving accounting inconsistencies and collaborate effectively across departments.

•    Bachelor's level (or higher) education in Finance or a related field.
•    At least 2 years’ experience in a similar financial role.
•    Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, financial regulatory frameworks.
•    Experience with ERP systems.
