How you keep the engine running with us

As a NH90 Technician, you play an important role in the execution of work on mechanical and electrical helicopter systems and engines in accordance with the Part 145. Upon arrival of the NH90 helicopter, you perform entry tests. Furthermore, you are engaged in repairing, revising, modifying, testing, preparing and adjusting parts and composite helicopter systems. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that work is done in accordance with the rules and standards in aviation. You will be working for Fokker Techniek and based on our customers location in Den Helder.

How you are valuable to us

The competent and certifying NH90 Aircraft Maintenance Technician B1.3/B2 must meet the following education and certification requirements:

  • MBO level 4 in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
  •  A minimum of 3 years of experience as a B1.3 and/or B2 technician in a helicopter maintenance environment.

Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of (Military) Aviation Requirements – Part 145 organizations.
  • Military Part-66 basic modules 50 to 55 are preferred; if not already obtained, these must be completed within 12 months via RAETC or another MLA-approved training organization.

We also welcome helicopter technicians with valid license on the NH90 or another type to apply. In this case the following additional requirements apply:

  • Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician B1.3 and/or B2 on a helicopter type other than NH90. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain the NH90 B1.3/B2 type rating after placement, through the Royal Air Education & Training Center (RAETC) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
    The intent is to offer the type training after approximately 12–18 months of operational experience, provided the candidate completes the training within 6 months after start.
  • Alternatively, fully certified NH90 B1.3 or B2 technicians must hold a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) issued by the Military Aviation Authority (MLA), including an NH90 type endorsement and a valid certification authorization issued by the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Expired authorizations must be renewable.

Language Skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on the NH90 helicopter.
  • Certification authorization NH90 B1.3 and/or B2.
  • Completion of military Part-66 basic modules 50–55.

Additional Information

  • If a B1.3-certified technician wishes to retrain to B2, this must be completed in their own time.
  • Deployment during field exercises may be required, depending on the assignment and individual availability.
