How you keep the engine running with us

As an HSE ambassador, you will play a key role in developing environmental and safety awareness within Fokker. Acting as the connector between various internal and external stakeholders, your insights and research can be decisive. You will investigate compliance with laws and regulations, assess processes against various requirements, and provide well-founded advice. Collaboration with other departments and government authorities is essential, aiming to elevate the entire organization. You are unafraid to address unsafe behaviors and engage in discussions on safety issues. The MAR, environmental legislation, relevant permits, and handling of hazardous substances are familiar territory to you.

Other responsibilities consist out of:

Ensure the organization operates within applicable laws and regulations.
Identify and prioritize risks, defining acceptable measures with the organization.
Maintain and continuously improve environmental and safety management systems.
Investigate incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
Build relationships with (external) stakeholders to influence HSE aspects and environmental permits.
Engage colleagues in HSE-related matters.
Participate in or conduct environmental and safety audits on-site or at third parties.
Conduct safety rounds, involving employees or managers.

How you are valuable to us

Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
MVK or Environmental Science qualification required; HVK is a plus.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and current developments in HSE.
Analytical skills to uncover the root cause behind issues.
Proficiency in Dutch and English (B2).
Experience in reporting.
Strong communication skills with internal and external parties.
Highly independent, process-oriented, decisive, persistent, and hands-on.
Experience with management systems.
