Interior Engineer

In the dynamic role of an Interior Engineer, you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies of aircraft interiors, seamlessly blending craftsmanship and innovation to create bespoke components and elevate cabin experiences to VIP standards, ensuring both luxury and functionality meet the highest expectations.

How you keep the engine running with us

Are you passionate about creating luxurious and functional aircraft interiors? As an Interior Engineer, you will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining aircraft interiors to the highest standards. Your tasks will include:

  • Crafting custom aircraft interior parts such as tables, walls, and cabinets.
  • Working closely with design engineering to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Converting or refreshing aircraft interiors to VIP standards for luxurious and comfortable accommodations.
  • Handling modification and reupholstering of interior components to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
  • Performing inspections, repairs, overhauls, and modifications of interior components to ensure safety and compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Managing tools, machinery, and molds to ensure they are well-maintained and operational, supporting production needs effectively.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of production methods and processes, leveraging your expertise to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Start your day with a team meeting to discuss daily tasks and priorities.
  • Receive detailed instructions and plans for your tasks, including every screw and rubber piece you need.
  • Work on all visible parts of the aircraft interior, ensuring high quality and precision.
  • Repair and refurbish plastic components and upholstery.
  • Insulate pipes with specialized materials.
  • Ensure safety and compliance through regular inspections.
  • Install new flooring and repair seat coverings as needed.
  • Upholster walls with special materials to ensure a premium finish.

How you are valuable to us

  • Minimum MBO thinking level, preferably specializing in technology.
  • Preferably you have relevant work experience in a similar role within industries such as kitchen construction, shipbuilding, or interior construction.
  • Some experience in reading drawings and working with quality systems, tools, and machinery related to plastics and metals is nice to have.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Good oral communication skills in Dutch and the ability to read technical documents in English.
