The Operational Buyer is responsible for acquiring materials for the manufacturing of new parts and/or subcontracting (repairs) at vendors.
The team
As our Operational Buyer you will be part of our Outsourced Repairs team.
This team consists of 6 Operational Buyers.
The Supply Chain Lead will be your manager and coach.
What will you do?
As our Operational Buyer, you are responsible for acquiring materials for the manufacturing of new parts and/or subcontracting (repairs) at vendors. The goal is to get the orders delivered on time, at a competitive price and find solutions in case of non-conformities.
In addition, you are responsible for, among other things:
• Planning and outsourcing components for the purpose of undergoing testing, repair and/or overhaul.
• Communicating with vendors regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns.
• Administrative management of the stock levels to meet the requirements.
• Conducting adequate administration for vendor management (quality, budget and availability).
• Developing and managing effective relationships with suppliers.
• Ensuring the correct quality controls at suppliers and internally.
What do you bring?
You are an Operational Buyer who has negotiation skills with commercial insights. You are able to identify bottlenecks at an early stage and take initiative to improve processes.
Furthermore you are strong in stakeholder management.
In addition you have:
• MBO+/HBO professional- and intellectual thinking.
• Knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
