How you keep the engine running with us

As Process Engineer CES, you play a key role in translating complex aircraft projects into executable, well-structured work packages within the CES Completion and Engineering Services department. You support large-scale projects in the VVIP and Special Mission Aircraft markets, with typical project values ranging from €10 to €50 million.

You are responsible for detailing the Level 3 Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) into Level 4 work order planning within the ERP system, covering the full Scope of Work (SoW), including Engineering Bulletins (EBs). You contribute across all phases of the EPIC lifecycle, Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Certification, ensuring that project management, execution and administrative processes are fully aligned and that all resource deliverables meet the requirements defined in the WBS.

Position in the Organisation

You report hierarchically to the Head of Large Projects and work functionally in close cooperation with the Project Manager. You are a core member of the project organisation and PMO team.

Your Responsibilities

In the early phases of a project, you support the Project Planner in building a closed-network Level 3 planning, working closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer and Project Lead Production. Based on this planning, you create and maintain the Level 4 planning, ensuring alignment with the Level 3 schedule, approved budgets and production constraints.

You establish and maintain the Process Engineering Plan and relevant Project-Specific Procedures (PSP). You convert the approved scope into structured work packages and work orders, ensuring clarity, traceability and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

You provide accurate ERP demand data to Supply Chain stakeholders, driven by the Level 4 work order planning, enabling timely procurement and logistics execution. You are also responsible for building the final project reporting and documentation package to be delivered to the customer. In addition, you support project close-out activities and drive continuous improvement through a structured lessons-learned approach.

Communication & Collaboration

As Process Engineer, you are the central hub for translating contractual requirements and scope into executable work packages and for demonstrating compliance with contracts and aviation regulations through accurate project administration. This role requires intensive collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and other stakeholders, making strong communication skills essential.

Working Environment

You work in a dynamic environment with an average portfolio of approximately three projects in different EPIC phases. You are part of a core PMO team of around 10 professionals, including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Process Engineers, Proposal Managers, Planners, Project Support Specialists and Sales Managers.

How you are valuable to us

  • Act as the Project Manager’s right hand for all project administration-related topics
  • Issue work orders and monitor their progress, completeness and administrative status
  • Monitor and report progress in close cooperation with the Planner and Project Lead Production, including early warnings when deviations occur
  • Represent the Project Team in meetings where process engineering, planning or execution topics are discussed
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the Project Manager

Reporting & Governance

You report to the Project Manager on:

  • ERP-related deliverables, progress and logistics status
  • Agreed project-specific KPIs
  • Open action items and follow-up
  • Input for weekly and monthly project reporting

Your Profile

  • MBO+ or HBO-starter level education, or equivalent
  • Experience working in EPIC project environments
  • Knowledge of project management processes, including costing, quality, planning and logistics
  • Strong familiarity with and proficiency in ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
