The team
As our Product Engineer you will be part of our Capability Development team at Schiphol (Oude Meer).
This team consists of ten Product Engineers and two Certification & Verification Engineers.
The Capability Development Lead will be your manager and coach.
What will you do?
As our Product Engineer, you are responsible for developing new capabilities, technologies and repair procedures for the Avionics & Instruments shop.
Furthermore you will maintain existing repair capabilities and provide engineering assistance.
In addition, you are responsible for, among other things:
• Development of new Avionics & Instruments capabilities and repair technologies.
• Continuous improvement on the existing capability portfolio by means of lean principles.
• Support potential new business requests from the Product Owner in order to optimize or expand the scope of Avionics & Instruments capabilities.
• Support the Avionics & Instruments shop in continuously improving the reliability of the relevant products.
• Responsible for initiating and identifying cost saving activities to enhance the financial performance of the Avionics & Instruments shop.
• Technical data analysis on performed work and set-up of technical measurements to improve business intelligence on a product level.
• Maintaining the existing capability portfolio from a technical perspective.
You are a Product Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and shows a can-do attitude.
You are an effective communicator with demonstrated organizational skills
In addition you have:
• A completed HBO education in Electrical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical components and avionics systems.
• Experience in Python, C++ or other programming languages.
• A demonstrated proficiency in relevant software skills: MS Excel and Access.
