How you keep the engine running with us

As PPC Lead you will be responsible for managing the site’s product planning and control activities. You will partner with the Production Leaders to coordinate manpower resources and tooling to maximize the site’s  operational performance. You will prepare and optimize the production schedule for both direct- and support functions. You will be monitoring, analyzing and reporting performances to scheduled production. You will lead your (functional) team towards business goals with a strong focus on operational management and continuous improvement. You will actively engage with (CMRO) Operations,  Customer Support, Supply Chain and Logistics to maximize the operational performance and financial performance of the repair shop. You will report to the Head of Production. 

The Team

You will be an active member of the operations team. You will report to the Head of Production, and work closely with other department leaders in pursuit of operational excellence. You will lead a cross functional team covering 6 Production Leaders and work closely with support function (Process Engineers, Operational Buyers, Customer Support) to deliver on the promise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and inspire a team of Product Leaders in a time-sensitive and demanding environment
  • Partner with production to coordinate cross department manpower resources and tooling
  • Prepare and optimize the production schedule covering a daily, weekly, monthly outlook
  • Maximize delivery performance (OTD%, TAT) and financial performance (GM%) whilst optimizing productivity targets (Utilization, Efficiency).
  • Liaison across multiple departments to effectively plan and execute
  • Partner with Supply Chain team to ensure deliveries meet customers’ expectations.
  • Review operations metrics reports and coordinate with customer Support to ensure customers’ expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain scorecard of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and presents results to leadership in formal and informal sessions including monthly performance review meetings
  • Perform (basic) performance analysis and translate findings into continuous improvement activities
  • Managing and monitoring and improving planning processes (SIOP, MPS) for the site
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive performance via continuous improvement
  • Drive cross departmental standardization and implementation of best practices
  • Drive daily management, and structurally address (aging) issues to be resolved.

How you are valuable to us

  • BSc, preferably in Aerospace or Supply Chain Engineering
  • General understanding of MRO operations, including scheduling, resource planning
  • Excellent communication skills both in Dutch and English;
  • Demonstrate required knowledge of Aviation Quality Procedures/Standards, as well as FAA/EASA Part 145 requirements and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Human Factors and how to mitigate risks while planning for tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to create plans and rationalize priorities;
  • Demonstrated ability in clear communication towards internal and external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated commercial savviness;
  • Relevant technical experience and understanding of working of parts;
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Excel.
