How you keep the engine running with us

The Production Support Officer plays a crucial role within the Component Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (CMRO) department of Fokker Services Group, supporting production processes within various shops at our Schiphol location. You will be part of the Process Engineering team, which consists of Process Engineers and other Production Support Officers. Your direct manager will be the Process Engineering Lead, while functionally, you will be guided by the Production Leads of the respective shops.

You will work closely with operational departments to ensure that production work orders are processed efficiently and meet the standards set by customers and aviation authorities. Operating within the Avionics & Instruments, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, and/or Power Generations shops, you will contribute to a streamlined workflow through (technical) work preparation, problem-solving, and continuous process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work Order Management: Proactively manage Work Orders (WOs) to ensure seamless workflow, addressing technician inquiries and resolving issues to maintain progress. Ensure efficient processing and monitoring of work orders to optimize production flow. Applies Lean principles to optimize workflows.
  • Technical & Operational Support: Act as the first point of contact for technicians, providing answers and guidance related to Work Order status, requirements, and next steps. Assist technicians in resolving operational and technical challenges and ensure proper preparation so they can continue their tasks efficiently.
  • Used Serviceable Material (USM) Workflow Management: Organize and oversee the USM workflow within the shop (e.g., SU25), ensuring optimal utilization and availability of materials.
  • Coordination & Communication: Acts as a connecting link between technicians, production departments, and Customer Support. Ensures work orders proceed smoothly and production processes remain efficient.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintains frequent contact with internal stakeholders. Ensures clear and timely communication about work order status, bottlenecks, and lead times. Supports technicians with clear explanations and guidance.
  • Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Works with ERP systems and Microsoft Office for administration and reporting. Prepares and adjusts quotations in line with commercial objectives and coordinates with the production leads.
  • Quotation Management: Prepare and adjust quotations to align with commercial objectives, initiating the quote-preparation process with relevant stakeholders when necessary.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with Production Leads to prioritize and manage Work Orders, providing direct support to ensure operational goals are met.

How you are valuable to us

You are a Production Support Officer with organizational skills, you like to work in a process-oriented way and you have good communication skills. You are confident and have a healthy dose of curiosity. Operates in a fast-paced environment where speed and accuracy are crucial. Maintains continuous alignment with production and customer-focused teams to achieve optimal results. Prioritizes and switches efficiently between different tasks and departments.

In addition, you have:

·       MBO+/HBO level of education, preferably in a technical field.

·       Affinity with the aviation industry and/or production processes.

·       Proven technical experience in aviation and Component MRO is required. In addition, knowledge of the product, regulations, and experience with (ERP) systems are essential minimum requirements.

·       Experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English.

·       Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
