How you keep the engine running with us

As a Production Support Officer, you play a key role in supporting our Component Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (CMRO) operations at Schiphol. You are part of the Process Engineering team, working alongside Process Engineers and fellow Production Support Officers. You report to the Process Engineering Lead and work closely with the Production Leads of our Avionics & Instruments, Hydraulics & Pneumatics and Power Generation shops.

In this role, you are the connecting link between production, engineering, logistics and customer support. You ensure work orders progress efficiently, support technicians with operational questions and contribute to continuous improvements in our production processes.

As Production Support Officer, you will:

  • Proactively manage and monitor production work orders to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Support technicians by answering questions, resolving operational issues and preparing work so production can continue without delays
  • Coordinate the Used Serviceable Material (USM) process and work closely with Operational Buyers on outsourced repairs
  • Act as the link between technicians, production departments and Customer Support
  • Monitor work order progress, identify bottlenecks and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and update quotations in line with commercial objectives
  • Work with ERP systems and Microsoft Office to support administration and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Production Leads to prioritize work and achieve operational targets
  • Contribute to Lean initiatives and continuous improvement within the production process

Your Team
You will join the Process Engineering team at our Schiphol location, consisting of Process Engineers and Production Support Officers. Together, you support multiple CMRO shops and ensure production processes run safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer and aviation authority requirements.

How you are valuable to us

You are an organized and proactive professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment. You can easily switch between priorities, communicate effectively with different stakeholders and keep production moving.

We are looking for someone with:

  • MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Proven technical experience within aviation and Component MRO
  • Affinity with production processes and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience in a similar coordinating role is a plus
