How you keep the engine running with us

As Project Planner, you are responsible for setting up, maintaining and controlling the integrated planning for complex projects within the CES Completion and Engineering Services department. You support large-scale projects in the VVIP and Special Mission Aircraft markets, with typical project values ranging from €10 to €50 million.

You contribute across all phases of the EPIC lifecycle, Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Certification, ensuring that project planning, progress measurement and reporting are accurate, realistic and fully aligned with project objectives. Acting as the right hand of the Project Managers, you initiate planning activities with all stakeholders, secure commitment to the agreed schedule, and provide clear insight into both calculated and physical project progress.

You report hierarchically to the Head of Large Projects and work functionally in close cooperation with the Project Managers. You are an integral member of the Project Management Team for the projects and proposals within your portfolio.

Your Responsibilities

You support Proposal and Sales Managers during the proposal and sales phases of large projects, contributing to planning scenarios and feasibility assessments in the process towards contract award. You are responsible for setting up an integrated, closed-network project planning that includes all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

After contract award, you translate the Scope of Work (SoW) into a structured Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with associated budgets, enabling progress measurement at WBS and Percentage of Completion (PoC) level. You establish and maintain the Project-Specific Procedure (PSP) for planning, ensuring consistent progress tracking, forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

You discuss and report project progress with all stakeholders represented in the WBS and are responsible for the integrated project portfolio planning of all CES proposals and projects. This includes close coordination with other Business Units and departments that contribute to proposals and project execution.

Key Activities

As part of the Project Management Team, you actively contribute to delivering projects on time, within budget and at the required quality level. Critical path analysis is a key daily activity, enabling early identification of risks and timely escalation to the Project Management Team when required.

You support the Project Manager by maintaining regular communication with internal departments and, when needed, external stakeholders to monitor planning developments and progress. You also advise the bid/no-bid process, proposal teams and tender boards through accurate portfolio and capacity planning insights.

As delegate of the Project Manager, you are responsible for executing the planning processes and deliverables for EPIC projects within a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. You typically support a portfolio of approximately three projects in different EPIC phases, while also contributing to multiple ongoing proposals.

This role requires intensive collaboration with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Production and Component Maintenance, as well as regular interaction with project stakeholders and customers when required. You work closely with a core team of around 10 professionals, including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Proposal Managers, Planners and Sales Managers. Strong professional communication and stakeholder management skills are therefore essential to ensure alignment, transparency and successful project delivery.
