How you keep the engine running with us

As Supply Chain Engineer CES, you are responsible for establishing, controlling and optimizing the logistics processes of complex aircraft projects within the CES, Completion and Engineering Services department. You contribute to large-scale projects in the VVIP and Special Mission Aircraft markets, typically ranging from €10 to €50 million in value.

Working across all phases of the EPIC lifecycle, Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Certification, you ensure that supply chain activities are fully aligned with the approved Scope of Work (SoW), Engineering Bulletins (EB) and the Level 4 work order planning within the ERP system.

You report hierarchically to the Head of Large Projects and functionally to the Project Manager. As part of the Project Management Team, you are responsible for safeguarding supply chain parameters such as availability, planning, cost and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

You contribute to the development and execution of the Project Supply Chain Plan and, where required, support the creation of Project-Specific Procedures (PSP). You ensure that all stakeholders adhere to the agreed supply chain strategy and project logistics framework.

In close collaboration with the Process Engineer and Project Planner, you translate supply chain deliverables from the SoW and EB into the Level 4 work orders within the ERP system, ensuring alignment with allocated budgets and planning boundaries.

You continuously monitor required, promised and actual delivery dates, proactively identifying risks and deviations. You ensure correct ERP demand data is maintained and drive expediting activities when required to safeguard project milestones.

You guide all external logistics activities related to the project scope and ensure integration between internal execution teams and external supply chain partners. Upon project completion, you contribute to structured close-out and continuous improvement through lessons-learned evaluations focused on supply chain performance.

Communication, Collaboration & Working Environment

As Supply Chain Engineer, you are the central hub safeguarding supply chain requirements for executable work packages in close collaboration with the Project Engineer and Project Management Team. You operate in a dynamic environment with an average portfolio of approximately three projects in different EPIC phases.

You are part of a core PMO team of around 10 professionals, including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Process Engineers, Proposal Managers, Planners, Project Support Specialists and Sales Managers. The role requires intensive daily communication with internal departments and external suppliers, making strong stakeholder management and communication skills essential for success.

How you are valuable to us

  • Act as the primary Supply Chain point of contact within the Project Management Team
  • Ensure all orders are processed within the boundaries of Level 3 and Level 4 planning
  • Monitor and report logistic requirements and project status in close cooperation with the Project Lead Production
  • Provide early warnings when supply chain deliverables deviate from plan
  • Represent the Project Team in meetings regarding logistics and supply chain matters
  • Maintain structured communication with internal and external stakeholders

Reporting & Governance

You report to the Project Manager on:

  • ERP-based logistic progress and issues
  • Project-specific KPIs
  • Open action items and mitigation measures
  • Supply chain budget, actuals and forecasting (in consultation with the Cost Controller)
  • Early warning reports on critical path deliverables
  • Input for weekly and monthly project reporting

Your Profile

  • MBO+ or HBO starter level education, or equivalent
  • Experience working in EPIC project environments
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles, including costing, planning and logistics
  • Strong experience working with ERP systems
  • Affinity with cost control within the supply chain domain
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
  • You are structured, proactive and analytical, with strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
