Aircraft Mechanic
Location: Schiphol
You play a key role in the repair, overhaul, and modification of AC and DC generators (Integrated Drive Generators) at one of our workshops at Schiphol.
The team
As our Technician Power Generating (IDG) you will be part of our Power Generating team at Schiphol (Oude Meer). The team consists of 21 technicians.
The Production Lead will be your manager and coach.
What will you do?
As our Technician Power Generating (IDG), you combine technical expertise with a coaching mindset. Besides performing repairs, overhauls, and testing activities, you support and guide fellow technicians, helping the team maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
In addition, you are responsible for, among other things:
• The coaching of technicians, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and support in daily operations.
• Supporting the development of team capabilities by promoting best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing Integrated Drive Generators (IDGs), including both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Testing repaired IDG components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with aviation standards.
• Performing rework activities on aircraft components.
• Working according to EASA aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Supporting the repair and overhaul of critical aircraft power generation components.
What do you bring?
As our Technician Power Generating (IDG) you have strong coaching and communication skills and are able to work in a team as well as individually.
You have the ability to guide and support colleagues in their technical development.
In addition you have:
• Experience in sharing technical knowledge and acting as a role model within a workshop or production environment.
• A completed MBO 4 /HBO education.
• Hands-on experience with repairs of mechanical parts.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
