Engineering Internship: Build the FSG Innovation Hub

The team
As our Innovation Hub Intern, you will become part of the Programs & Product Development department.
You will work directly with colleagues from Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Procurement, Marketing and senior management. Throughout your internship you will collaborate with experts across the organization and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your supervisor will coach and support you throughout the internship while giving you the freedom to take ownership of your assignment and develop your own ideas.

What will you do?
As our Innovation Hub Intern, you will help design and build the FSG Innovation Hub, a strategic platform that transforms innovative ideas into the next generation of aerospace products, services and business opportunities.
Rather than writing a report that ends up on a shelf, you will contribute to creating an innovation ecosystem that may shape Fokker Services Group's future product portfolio for years to come.

Your responsibilities include, among others:
•    Benchmark leading aerospace companies, OEMs and technology organizations to identify innovation best practices. 
•    Design the complete FSG Innovation Hub, including its vision, mission, branding, governance and organizational structure. 
•    Develop strategies to stimulate innovation across all internal departments, including Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Procurement, Production, Quality, Finance and Management. 
•    Develop methods to actively engage customers, suppliers, airlines, OEMs, MROs, defense organizations, universities, start-ups and research institutes in the innovation process. 
•    Recommend the preferred digital architecture for the Innovation Hub, including the application of AI to support idea generation, evaluation and collaboration. 
•    Develop a communication and marketing strategy to create awareness, engagement and long-term participation. 
•    Design KPI dashboards to measure innovation performance and business impact. 
•    Create a practical 12-month implementation roadmap, including quick wins, pilot projects, company-wide rollout and continuous improvement. 
•    Present your findings and recommendations to senior management. 

As our Innovation Hub Intern, you are curious, entrepreneurial and passionate about innovation. You enjoy connecting technology, business and people, and are motivated to turn ideas into real business opportunities.

Furthermore:
•    You are currently pursuing a WO (Master's preferred) degree in Innovation Management, Management of Technology, Strategic Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, Design Thinking or a related field. 
•    Strong analytical and research skills.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
•    The ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. 
•    A proactive, creative and entrepreneurial mindset. 
•    Affinity with digital innovation, AI and technology trends is considered an advantage. 
•    Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
