Roland van Dijk, CEO of Fokker Services Group, said: "The security landscape is changing rapidly, making close cooperation between defense and industry more important than ever. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the operational readiness and resilience of the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force. By combining military operational experience with our engineering, maintenance and sustainment expertise, we are building on decades of collaboration and helping ensure the long-term availability and sustainment of critical defense capabilities."

The Strategic Letter of Intent marks the joint intention to achieve broader and sustainable collaboration and creates a framework for closer collaboration in engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), training, knowledge development, workforce development and operational support. By combining the military operational experience of the RNLASF with the capabilities of the Dutch aerospace industry, both organizations aim to strengthen military readiness while supporting innovation and long-term sustainment.

An important element of the partnership is the ambition to create opportunities for Fokker Services Group employees to serve as Military Reservists. By enabling aerospace professionals to contribute their expertise directly to Defense, both organizations aim to strengthen knowledge exchange, increase operational flexibility and further integrate civilian and military capabilities.

The Strategic Letter of Intent also provides a framework for jointly exploring innovation initiatives, pilot projects and tailored training programs that contribute to the future scalability and sustainment of the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force. The collaboration is fully aligned with the RNLASF Industry & Innovation Strategy and recognizes the importance of close cooperation between government and industry in an increasingly complex geopolitical and security environment.

Major General Robert Adang, Deputy Commander RNLASF: ‘’Fokker Services Group has proven to be a reliable partner for the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force over many years. We greatly value this cooperation and want to continue building on this strong relationship. By combining our operational experience with Fokker Services Group’s industrial expertise, and by creating opportunities for specialized industry professionals to contribute as military reservists, we strengthen the development of the Air and Space Force and our ability to ensure that the necessary knowledge, personnel and capabilities remain available, both in peacetime and in times of crisis and conflict.“

As the Netherlands and its allies continue to modernize their defense capabilities, RNLASF  and Fokker Services Group share the ambition to build a long-term partnership that combines military operational experience with world-class aerospace expertise, ensuring the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force remains ready to meet both today's operational demands and tomorrow's challenges.
